Project Description: Liver tumors move due to respiration, this motion affects the accuracy of hepatic percutaneous procedures. The objective of this project consists in creating an AR environment that includes a liver phantom and a moving tumor. The purpose consists in updating the position of the tumor in real time and displaying its changing position in the AR environment. Additionally, a needle should be included in the environment to perform the needle insertion task.
The student should be interested in programming, augmented reality, and computer vision. Preferably student has taken the course in Image Processing and Computer Vision.
