Real-Time Volume Change from Depth

MSc assignment

A simple, non-contact “volume meter” from a camera: we stream depth (or even estimate it from a single RGB image with modern monocular-depth models), reconstruct the object on the fly, and output instant volume, rate of change, and a clean volume-time curve with short-horizon forecasts. No markers, no hardware mods—just point and run. It’s practical for IV/fluid bags, lab containers, or packaging checks, and easy to trigger alerts or stops at volume thresholds. Low-cost, fast to demo, and a clear path from vision to action.
