Recently, development has been booked on our understanding of multi-material 3D printed components, from mechanically flexible to stiff, to electrically insulative to more conductive. It allows for the production of all kinds of sensors, from piezo-resistive to capacitive, made through in-house 3D printing here at the NIFTy group, active in this field of research at the University of Twente.
This work's specific job is to investigate the infill parameters in capacitive sensors for possibly improving their sensing capabilities making them better at what they are already doing: sensing force, displacements, or accelerations, you name it.
