Towards an AI powered interface for Video Fluoroscopic Swallow Studies and High-Resolution Impedance Manometry

This presentation introduces a software platform for the integrated analysis of videofluoroscopic swallowing studies (VFSS) and high-resolution impedance manometry (HRIM) in dysphagia assessment. Currently, these modalities are often analysed separately, making interpretation complex and time-consuming. Within this project, a multimodal analysis environment was developed that enables synchronised visualisation and analysis of VFSS and HRIM data. In addition, AI-assisted sensor localisation is incorporated to further support the analytical workflow.

The presentation discusses both the technical architecture and the clinical relevance of the system, as well as current limitations and opportunities for future clinical application.
