Currently medical professionals rely on qualitative and subjective methods to assess the severity of psoriasis in patients. Performing accurate 3D reconstruction of human skin can help doctors provide a more quantitative assessment of psoriasis severity.
The objective of this assignment is to design a 3D imaging system to assist in providing such a quantitative assessment. The student should explore ways for realising such an imaging system during the design process. Once the design is finalised a prototype should be developed and its performance be evaluated.
