The MRI compatible Robot (McRobot) is a multimodality compatible, versatile and patient mounted system for robot assisted image guided minimal invasive interventions and targeted therapy.
Version 3.1 of McRobot was a biomimetic concept inspired by the physical shape of an octopus. For version 3.2 it is required to improve McRobot 3.1. The initial requirement is to design an attachment method that provides more stability for precise needle insertion.
For McRobot 3.2 the focus is also on a more versatile device that can be used on all body regions and patient sizes and still fit inside the MRI bore.
