Research Article Wireless mechanical and hybrid thrombus fragmentation of ex vivo endovascular thrombosis model in the iliac artery

Marc de Boer and Ewout Ligtenberg have achieved an exciting breakthrough using tiny microrobots to tackle blood clots.

In their recent paper, they showed how these untethered microrobots can quickly break apart clots and deliver drugs exactly where they're needed, clearing blocked blood vessels within minutes.

Working closely with an international team, Marc and Ewout demonstrated the huge potential of these magnetically controlled robots to navigate complex blood vessels and safely remove dangerous clots without invasive procedures.
