On the 21st of January 2021, Ramy Rashad defended his PhD thesis supervised by prof. Stefano Stramigioli and dr. Frederic P. Schuller, titled: "Energy-based Modeling and Control of Interactive Aerial Robots: A Geometric Port-Hamiltonian Approach".
Based on the decision of the graduation committee including prof. Arjan van der Schaft, prof. Bernhard Maschke, prof. Bernard Geurts, and dr. Antonio Franchi, he was awarded the PhD degree with cum laude!
